Tom Selleck-2American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in Magnum. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor In a Drama Series (1980-1988) as well as won the Emmy Award in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has co-starred in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he's been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in a small town New York City. The actor has also been in nine TV movies that are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also played the role of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and a Little Lady (90). He has also been seen in over 50 other roles in television and films since Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter, baseball. He played the recurring TV part of Monica Geller's love interests Dr. Richard Burke and Lance White on Friends. In addition he played A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. He also played a lead role in the television western film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran and a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
